Seems odd when Jeff Goodman (also of ESPN) is saying we are overrated does it not? Perhaps this points out that ESPN is not so biased after all. Or perhaps it just points out that one part of ESPN does not speak to another part.

1 thing looking at RPI forecast- we're starting to see records being an issue. For instance St John's now projected to be only 8-10 in conference play. That puts them with a loss to Duke at 18-12. That's a lot of losses, and a projected RPI of 50.9. To get to 18-12 even now, they would need to go 8-8 rest of the way. They still have 6 with DePaul, Creighton, and Marquette, so that's good- but still you wonder about their resume with only quality wins so far vs Minnesota and Syracuse(though both of those not projected to be top 50 even.

I think it's interesting that our average Ken Pom rating is a smidge lower- but our average RPI is a decent bit better. It'll be interesting to see how tonight impacts things. The Seton Hall/Xavier game huge. Could see Xavier's RPI start to crater if they lose tonight- would take their own winning pct from .692 down to .610. And they're at that point of the ratings where a lot of teams collect- where a loss there impacts maybe a smidge more than other places in the ratings.

Creighton's RPI dropped from 116 down to 138 after tonight.
DePaul's RPI moved from 206 up to 173 after tonight.
such a big move because of the road win/home loss.

right now- Creighton's RPI record is 6.6-6.2 .516. DePaul is 7.4-7.2 .507
