I agree. we know who nova is. st. johns is fragile. they could go into a tail spin if they don't salvage a win pretty quick.

there is still some interest with both of them ranked. a win at MSG and i can see them getting more coverage from local media. there is just not much to write about with both football teams out of playoffs and knicks in tank mode.

forget the conference, for the good of my fandom we should all root for St. John's.

For real, St. john's loses this game then the team is looking at Duke being a must win because 0-3 with a shallow bench means they are almost definitely wearing down the 2nd half of conference play.

I know people always go crazy when people say this, but this is a must win. If we lose this game we start 0-3 in conference with Duke in the near future still. And I think the only way we can beat Nova is at home tonight. We have had so many close nail biters against them I feel like we are overdue just like we were vs. Cuse. Last time we beat them was 2011. If you are rooting purely for conference interest, root for us because that means we will be climbing the rankings and keeping 3 teams in the top 25. Nova still has some room for a few losses. They can afford one. We can't.

It's going to be a dog fight because we are fighting for our lives trying to stop what appears to be a tailspin with even the NCAA's in danger if we lose today (and likely lose to Duke), but then again Nova is going to come out playing angry coming off a loss to SHU and Nova also shot awful from behind the arc. That means they are due for a great shooting night at MSG. Just wait. My prediction is Nova shoots at least 40% from 3 tonight and Arc is a big part of it, just because he has been so cold. He's exactly the type of player who would kill us.

I'd be surprised if we win tonight, but it would be huge if we can pull it out.

Can't root for Kentucky but an ole miss win would sure carry a lot of weight on selection sunday which could be bad for us.
