A bunch of players who think they're better than they actually are. And a coach who is, as ever, completely in over his head. This game was lost before the team ever left Tampa. Got away with a lazy, half-assed effort in that one because USF is terrible. Came out in same lazy, half-assed fashion tonight and getting the butt-whipping they deserve.

Also knew we were in trouble as soon as announcers said there were 10 NBA scouts there to see Whitehead. More interested in putting on a show for the scouts than making winning plays. Forcing things, totally out of control. Same thing happened in Virgin Islands tournament.

See you fellas in 10 days.

That just made my night. Thanks NJRedman.

Not exactly how I would put the overall assessment. I think it's a young team who, at the moment, is really bad at playing from behind. Georgia got off to a hot start and it really threw the Pirates off their game. They started throwing up quick shots in an attempt to match and the result was big rebound and runouts coming back at them. The same thing happened when Wichita State threw a little run at them to take the lead- they let it spiral out of control.

I don't think coach Willard is in over his head- I think tactically he's pretty good. But this is the second time his team got rattled by a run that put them behind and the result was a stretch of poor execution and individuals trying to do too much so that the problem just ballooned out of control.

I stand by what the team is- and what I said they were exposed for- young and inexperienced. I kind of wish they fell behind in a game against an inferior team and got the experience coming back because that may have helped alleviate the panic that ensued when they fell behind against Wichita State, and now Georgia. I'm not sure what to expect going into conference play. If we can get off to hot starts and get some confidence, I think we could potentially beat both St. John's and Villanova. But at the same time, if we fall behind early, they could both get ugly going the other way as this team hasn't shown any in-game resiliency. And more than anything, I think that's a matter of experience. This season's gonna be a roller coaster ride, but next season could be really fun (if Whitehead hangs around).

we'll learn a ton about Seton Hall first 2 weeks of the conference season. 5 game stretch- St John's, Villanova, @ Xavier, @ Creighton, and then Butler. Could see them going 4-1 or 5-0- or 1-4 or 0-5 even. How that 5 game stretch goes will dictate a lot about where they are end of the year.
