You won't find many Creighton fans outraged by being slotted 9th at this point. The team is playing about as expected, but seems like Butler, Marquette and SH are all much better than it looked like they'd be in October. Not saying we'll finish 9th, just that it's not an insult to be pegged there right now with the way the league is playing.

My poll based on actual results to date, NOT projecting forward:

1. Villanova - 10-0 - (no debate here. 10-0 with wins over VCU, Michigan, Illinois, and Temple)
2. St. John's - 9-1 - (good wins over Minnesota, Syracuse, and St. Mary's, only loss to #8 Gonzaga)
3. Butler - 8-2 - (wins over UNC and Georgetown. Losses to #15 Oklahoma and Tennessee)
4. Georgetown - 6-3 - (One decent win vs. Florida, but three very close losses to top teams)
5. Creighton - 9-3 - (wins vs. #15 Oklahoma and @Nebraska, but bad loss to Tulsa).
6. Marquette - 6-4 - (decent wins vs. Arizona State and Tennessee. bad loss at home vs. Omaha).
7. Xavier - 8-2 - (no standout wins, and bad losses to LBSU an UTEP)
8. Providence - 8-3 - (win vs. #21 Notre Dame. Horrific loss at home vs. Brown, not even competitive vs. UK in 2nd half)
9. Seton Hall - 9-1 - (beaten handily by the only good team they've played)
10. DePaul - 6-4 - (win vs. Stanford. bad losses vs. Illinois State, Lehigh)

This is gonna be one hell of a conference battle, especially in the middle of the league. I see spots 3-8 being wide open.

my ranking based on actual results to date-
1 Villanova 11-0
2 St John's 9-1
3 Seton Hall 9-1
4 Georgetown 7-3
5 Creighton 9-3
6 Providence 9-3
7 Butler 8-3
8 Xavier 8-3
9 Marquette 6-4
10 DePaul 6-4

very tempted to put Marquette over Xavier. better wins, and a fewer bad loss.

Edited to reflect yesterday's results. Xavier has been a bit disappointing.

For Creighton- Not sure why Tulsa is a bad loss. they are #34 Sagarin and #91 Nolan. They played awful ( I believe the worst effort I have seen since Mac days) but I wouldn't put it in bad loss category-those should be for Omaha, Brown,Lehigh type). Also, I think Tulsa was actually favored in the game.

Edited to reflect yesterday's results. Xavier has been a bit disappointing.

I think UTEP is much better than anyone is giving them credit for. I watched most of their game Friday night on FS1 versus Arizona. Tough 5 point loss.

Totally agree. Of the 3 losses by Xavier, it's by far the best.

I agree, UTEP will probably not be a bad loss but CUSA is horrible and with the exception of maybe ODU, any loss will plummet their RPI. LBSU and Auburn will be considered "bad losses.". I figured X would escape nonconference with 1 loss so 3 is dissapointing.
