OLIVER LUCK QUITS AS WVU AD. WILL BECOME EXEC AT NCAA

Luck was a major proponent of expansion in the Big 12 and spoke in public for such expansion. He is now leaving for the NCAA and will have little or no influence on the B12 in future. Does this mean that expansion in the Big 12 is done for? Luck was opposed by Texas and I suspect this will mean the B12 is less likely to expand.

What say you?

Furthermore the ACC will find itself shut out of the FBS playoff, most if not all years. Do you have an issue with North Carolina or the south in general?

UNC beat us three years ago in the tournament. Their inbred fans are still sending our players death threats for "ruining" their chances of a NC because one of their star players broke his wrist on a hard foul from Wragge. It's also the same game where the Gibbs wink came from after he drew a technical.

So yeah, Creighton really hates UNC. The feeling is pretty mutual.

Allen Ray didn't travel. You spanked us twice last year, but I'm with you on this one.

Hmmmm... Mediocre at best??

What does that make the New Big East?

UAB had a more impressive tournament than every current Big East program, except MAYBE 1 (Xavier).

As much as it pains me to say it... nationally the New Big East is considered mediocre. Not UAB.

Read all about it.

Thus, I see no reason we shouldn't reunite UAB with their former CUSA brethren, Marquette and DePaul.

They got it done. UAB is earning theirs.

The New Big East has yet to do anything.

True story.

Let's stop pretending, and actually measure accomplishments (e.g. Elite 8s, Final 4, National Titles) with the conferences/programs we're acting superior to.

Let's get out of Fantasy Land.

Let's get out of week 1 in the NCAAs.

If we were going to add someone based off of the NCAA tournament, UAB would be oh about the 6th choice. Georgia St, Dayton, Wichita St, Northern Iowa, Gonzaga all more impressive than UAB. It's a great story what UAB did, but they won't get in the Big East. Sorry.

When Gonzaga makes the Final Four this year, they will become the obvious choice off their tournament performance. ;)

Just sayn.

UAB had a more impressive tourney showing than the NBE. To deem them unworthy is missing the mark. They have good history with DePaul and Marquette.

So you think they're a good add because of one win in the NCAA Tournament? A one game sample size?

You obviously don't know a lot about that UAB program. They have very good tradition going back to Murray Bartow, to Mike Anderson, and now Jerrod Haase.

I's say their basketball tradition stacks up favorably to Creighton (who many people weren't aware of until Doug McDermott - who only played in the NBE one year).

You're delusional. They've won one conference tournament and two conference regular seasons since 2000. They have appeared in five NCAA tournaments since 2000.
Creighton has won seven conference tournaments and four conference regular seasons since 2000. They have appeared in five NCAA tournaments since 2000. Creighton has far more NCAA Tournament appearances in its entire program history than UAB, too.
Creighton tops UAB quite easily.
