As an XU fan, it's been he|| for all but the last two years being dubbed the Bearcats' red-headed step-brother. They maintained this stance even during the last decades during which time the Muskies have dominated them on the court. Now WE are in the dominant Conference and I want it to remain that way. It's easier to do so as long as UC is mired in the AAAAAAAAAAC.

I actually hope UC gets invited to the big 12. It's good for the city and UC fans aren't dedicated enough to go to their games if they are in the AAC, it's almost depressing how fleeting their fan base is.

I agree with Muskieneck. Honestly, half the fun of this new conference has been watching the people who wrecked the old Big East either get buyers' remorse in their new destinations (West Virginia, Syracuse, Pittsburgh), or gnash their teeth at being left behind and squandering resources (Temple, UConn, Cincinnati). When the Big East re-formed, I always liked to imagine USF, Temple, Cincinnati, and UConn as the string quartet sadly playing on the deck of the Titanic, with all the lifeboats gone.
They had a good thing as basketball schools, but they blew it chasing football dollars that would never come. In other words, they shat the bed, and I'm perfectly happy with the scatalogical schadenfreude of watching them sleep in it.

UCONN won the NCAA Championship last year, and their attendance is DOWN this year.
