RPI RANKING: FEEL FREE TO ADD OTHER RANKINGS

Unless the top four teams in the BE really seperate themselves fromt he next two or three, then if the BE has four teams with top 8 seeds in the tournament, we will have five in minimum. IMO, no way is a league good enough top to bottom to have four top 8 seeds and not have at least one or two others deserving of a 10, 11 or 12 seed - unless, like I said, those four are all like 13-5 or better and no one else is above .500 in the league.

It'll depend on the others and their records. If 5th place is 9-9(very realistic)- and they're like Providence who could have 4 losses entering conference play- 18-13 generally speaking does not get into the tournament. Georgetown would be 17-12. Seton Hall could be 20-10 in this scenario, but with really not much OOC. Any of those teams may very well have to win the QF in the BET to get in the tourney.

Things continue to be pretty volatile at RPI Forecast. As more and more games are played, everything gets recalculated. The loss to Immaculate Word and Michigan's loss to NJIT suddenly makes those teams not as strong a boost to the RPI as they had been. The Big East as a conference still looks great, but teams are scrambling in the rankings with ups and downs.

I have always suspected the ESPN RPI rating but today's ranking actually appears more correct than REAL TIME. The position of nova and the hall are both reasonable however RT rating Marquette 6th with a 4-4 record seems less accurate than ESPN rating them in 8th.
