Well, Hall is winning so...

St. John's seems to be playing kind of out of control. I haven't watched much this season, is this the norm? Obviously they are still winning, but they seem to be going 1000 mph and not making the best passes.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Not a complaint, just an observation. I'm actually pretty pleased with how they're playing. Kevin Willard said he wants to play fast this year, but it was gonna be a while until he takes the training wheels off and lets them go full speed. He wants to know they can handle it without the needless sloppy turnovers (a la St. John's it seems based on your comment). This game looks like a great test of that playing style with both teams running a full court press and looking to push the pace.

Both games at halftime now, Seton Hall leads 45-29 and St. John's leads 35-24. So far so good.

SH doing their thing, up 66-36.

SJ scaring me, up 46-42. Come on, Johnnies!

Watching the Johnnies right now, I am feeling the good luck vibe, so Red Storm is good to win now.

This will likely irritate a few folks but if we're betting on which team is most likely to disappoint, my money is on St. John's.

Finally starting to pull away, up 15.

Hall with a nice 23 point win.

Nailed it, sort of. Double digit halftime lead for the Johnnies. Niagara cut it to 1 point mid 2nd. Gave me indigestion. SJU then pulled away.

The srters built the lead in the l1st half, bench players came in and Niagara cuts it to 1.
The real lineup comes back, and they go up by 17 and win it by 13.

Wouldn't be St John's basketball if they didn't give you an ulcer or two during the game.

With the tough D that St John's plays, and with Obekpa such a force in the middle, it sets up a great matchup at the Carrier Dome this weekend. SJU hopefully doesn't waste possessions and hopefully can keep focused.

Syracuse may still be down after tonight's loss to Michigan; they kinda looked like they were sleepwalking, and their offense has been sluggish. And apparently, freshman Kaleb Joseph had some rough plays in the last half minute. Maybe Harrison can get in his head.

An SJU win would be fantastic, the worm would turn once again, Jay Bilas will be found hiding under his desk with Sean McDonough, and we'll be talking about 8 Big East teams getting votes.
