If Creighton is a middle-of-the-pack Big East team, which I still think it probably is until proven otherwise, then all the better that it could knock off Oklahoma and can get ranked in the top 25. Then if Creighton wins, it can get ranked higher, and if it loses, the teams that beat Creighton can get ranked.

Other than some cold stretches Creighton looks pretty solid so far. I'm not saying they will be world-beaters or win the conference, but I'm excited to watch them get even better.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I am also amped to watch Creighton get better. World beaters? No.
Win the BE? Hmmmm. I am the CU unrealistic (_ss h_le) homer - winning the conference is within
the realm of possibility.

Who the hell is Jeffrey Groselle (sp)?

Eight straight points by the good looking big man.

7 footer who had some nice offers out of HS. Hasn't been healthy much until this year. Not swift, but has nice hands and touch and isn't afraid to bang a bit.

Don't be so humble!

I bleed blue more than anyone but I think we have too many problems to challenge in the league this year. Last night was a game we should have won but laid an egg in the final 2 minutes. I think we lose 2 or three more games out of this group @Tulsa, @Nebraska, St. Mary's, @North Texas before conference play.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

I don't know how the Ole Miss game played out, but you had a 7 pt halftime lead, so the Jays were controlling the game i would guess. Was the loss due to foul trouble, or lack of focus? Definitely not talent. From the games I've seen this year, this was a very winnable game. I thought our Yale game was a bigger trap than your Ole Miss game.

Anyway, of the 4 upcoming games you mentioned, I can't anything worse than 3-1, with the loss maybe being at Nebraska. But i saw Nebraska get outplayed by URI last week.

St Mary's at home should be a win; they have the big guy Waldow who isn't anything great, and Brooks-Chatman are better than their guards.

Tulsa lost to Oral Roberts.

North Texas got smoked by Iona, and was in a dogfight with Delaware State.

I think once the irritation of yesterday's loss subsides, you'll see that a 1-loss ooc slate for the Jays is very likely.

Talent wise I think you're right billyjack, CU could/should finish off these last games handily. But I think the biggest hurdle will be to not dwell on this past game and move on. Especially because I'm getting the sense that they choked, for lack of a better word, down the stretch.

Choked may or may not be the right word, but it's noteworthy that Ole Miss has four starters while we have one. They made plays at the end and we didn't. So as somebody said, don't let this loss turn into a second, just learn and move on.
