Xavier's loss won't look as bad if UTEP goes ahead and wins C-USA like they are favored to do.

We threw the Bulldogs a bone. You can thank us on Selection Sunday.

Watching ESPN2 and previewing the SJ-Zags game they literally spent 99% of their time on how amazing Gonzaga is. All they said about SJ was "Good luck with Pango, Red Storm!". Funny how they don't even cover their anti-Big East bias anymore. They just made SJ seem like a mid major with no chance. Don't get me wrong, Zags are great and may even blow us out but we can definitely beat them too. People forget that in beating a legitimate B1G team in Minnesota, we shot terrible from the charity stripe and awful from behind the arc. Hopefully we are due to have our Fordham game from last year where everything goes in. To beat Gonzaga would be major. Not only do we either enter the top 25 or receive votes, but it makes the Big East look amazing this year and also gives SJ some hardware to take home winning a championship.

Much like last year X still can't guard the 3. UTEP has a lot of length across the board and actually out-rebounded X. Definitely not a good loss by any means, but UTEP is one of those teams I wouldn't want to play in March of they get into the dance as a 12ish seed.

Must beat Washington/Long beach on Sunday. 2 loses would be a disaster.

Crappy day so far. I don't see SJU winning this. Hopefully CU doesn't crap the bed.

Yale vs Providence: Big game, a win ensures they are top 25
Xavier vs Utep: As most of their games, Xavier HAS to win
Johnnies vs Gonzaga: Biggest game of the day. An interesting one too, Zags are VERY skilled but they don't have Obepka. Will be watching this one.
Ole Miss v Creighton: Not sure what to think, but a loss pushes Creighton out of top 25
Marquette vs Mich St.: I don't know much about Mich St. This year, but if they are as usual, Marquette has no chance.

Only if PC looses by 20 or less.

Xavier has given up a lot of points this year to less than stellar opponents. 108th defense in KemPom. You guys have a tremendous offense, though. Still think you guys will be really solid by March. Defense takes longer to teach than offense.

ugh Johnnies get 2 possessions to make a 3 in the final 30 seconds, not a single shot put up

I don't get the reason why SJU didn't shoot a 3 during those last few possessions. There is a greater chance to hit a three than there is to hit a 2 and hope for TO or missed FT's.
