The only way they will knock off that bullcrap is to wind up on top. They have their narrative and they're sticking to it.

Even that will do no good. Look at what happened last year when an AAC team won the national championship. The AAC got little credit. Let's face it the P5 conferences have all the money, tv viewership, and political power. Look at what happened recently when the P5 did not want to share with anyone so they rushed through the cost of attendance and other changes which benefit only the P5 and a very small number of football schools outside the P5. I defy anyone to tell me how the Big East benefited from the recent NCAA changes. They have the power and money and they will not share it.

If we do build a significant power base and challenge them they will simply find a way (perhaps their own post season tourney) to slap us down. We must learn there is no generosity or equity in the world of college sports.

I don't think if we assert ourselves as a premier BBall conference that they will try to exclude us from a post season tournament. They don't care about BBall, their sole focus is on the big money FB post season. I'm sure they would like to cut down on the amount of D1 BBall schools but we are very far from that cut off line. A BBall tournament where only 65 teams are eligible to even make doesn't make much sense. We have brands, play in large markets and have history. Thats why the Big Ten partnered up with us and more than likely the Pac-12 will do the same. If they have an exclusive post season tournament I feel confident we will also be included in it. People know who Gtown, Nova, Marquette and Butler are, it would be hard to accept a post season tournament without us, UConn or Memphis even eligible to make.

well I guess with Georgetown beating Florida we still havent "come down to earth". We shall see the spin form the "experts"

Can you imagine the outrage if Georgwtown beats #2 wisconsin and Providence beats #1 Kentucky?

That upstater guy isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Otherwise, the P 5 have been solving for football since the BCS era came into existence in 1998. They have no desire, nor will they muck-up the NCAA Tournament.

Beyond that, and I mention this as a fan of Ohio State football, I cannot think of a more failed attempt at D1A football than the UCONN program, given what it put the CT taxpayers through and where it stands today.
