Jay Wright on coaching at a non-football school

His answer to the question about coaching at a non-football school was referenced in another thread, but I think it's worth it's own. Perfect answer and I agree with him completely.

Sweet, Jay is a great spokesman for our conference.

I'll say it again. Patience.... This conference will be elite, unique, and cool.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I am sure that he has given that story to every single recruit since leaving the old Big East. Come here if you want to be the center of the campus. Go to somewhere like Penn State if you want to be second fiddle.

Man, I really like Jay Wright. Great response.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

And I think that is also why the fans of each of the teams in the big east seem to root for one another more than any other conference. The new big east is being made into a much more close-knit community as jay wright said and I love it.

Agree completely. Even as rivalries grow through the years I hope we will continue to root for each other to do well (through non-conference play) for years to come. I've actually watched a lot more basketball this fall just to root for the other nine schools.

Agreed. I root as hard for the other BE teams as if they were the Pirates, except of course when they play SHU. This is a great league with a great future.
