RPI RANKING: FEEL FREE TO ADD OTHER RANKINGS

RR, thanks for your work here, but I'm having trouble understanding this thread.

Like, not sure why the Patriot is ranked 7th, and the SWAC is 12th, and the WAC is too high...? and I think it's missing some games maybe.

I have also noticed one game missing. I am looking for a way to contact RPI to seek further information. I have used this site for 4 or 5 years and I have always found them accurate however missing games is a significant deficiency. I will post the response and info if I am able to contact them, meanwhile I will continue to post results weekly if not daily.

The above address gives RPI for all Division 1 basketball schools except Seton Hall which shows no game played. Since we know they did play a game this is a problem.

This contrasts to the following conference rating on 11.21.14 on teamrankings.com. I will not list any rankings except Big East Real Time RPI in future as there are at least 4 websites who do these rankings and they all differ slightly. For example in the ranking above the Big East is #1 whilst in the ranking below it is 10th. The Patriot league is listed 1st below and 7th above. I expect these sites to become more similar as the season progresses but we will need to wait to see.

I promise you the CBS rankings are right. I spent more than a decade on a message board with the guy who does them before he big-timed us and went to CBS. Say what you want about his bracketology (a little screwy at times) but his RPI formula is accurate. Any other site's numbers I wouldn't trust. Some of them are obviously not even remotely close to being accurate.

realtime rpi quite frankly is complete junk.

CBS Sports(Jerry Palm) is by far the best one out there. Not even close. Like what was said- his bracketology isn't the best- but his data is top notch.

Please don't automatically discredit this RPI site just because it's run by UDPride. This is a fabulous RPI site that the NCAA uses (one of three they use I believe). You can see it's up to date with Seton Hall's games also.
