Hockey, outside of the Northeast and Great Lakes states (Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin), is most definitely a niche sport. Just my two cents.

It's actually Oklahoma and not Oklahoma St- but yeah, I saw one right before the start of the Redskins/Bucs game here in DC.

I live in LA and both the Kings and Ducks have big followings. Hell, the Kings have won two out of the last 3 Stanley Cups. Also Arizona State is starting up a Hockey program.

FS1 and FS2 both have double-headers on Tuesday. Games that will be by far overshadowed by ESPN's tip-off marathon. Zero college hoops on ESPN on Wednesday, so good fortune for FS1 to have the #19 ranked team in the country in Oklahoma at Creighton with 18,000 plus fans!

A game that looked better 2-3 weeks ago before WVU lost 2 in a row I think and KSU lost to TCU.

Going up against KC/Oakland in the NFL so that's not much competition.

I didn't even think or care about the NFL Network game as competition. Duke/UNC on ESPN is competion. NFL fans will watch the NFL and college die-hards will watch college. Yes, the NFL game will win in ratings.
