Obekpa would be in there if not for the silly fouls he sometimes commits, and we'll need him in the last 5minutes.

Im with you on this. Like Obekpa off the bench. Really like Jones and think he is the surprise of the year, but he cant play the 5.

Hey the year we made the elite8, our Center (Grant) was only 6'7 I believe. I'm not worried about that.
Even though if we had a center then maybe we`d have overcome Ken Johnson (12blocks I believe.)
Take him away and we go to the F4, but oh well.

Its not his size that worries me, there has certainly been smaller guys who have done fine. He just doesnt have the own the glass mentality. I think thomas will be fine as a center. Hopefully his toughness rubs off on the other guys.

Ochefu

...sorry, I was only looking on page 3. Didn't see Nova posted already.

Not me. I thought we played our best ball last year when Dingman was in the lineup.

Unless Dingman can find his shot again, I'd prefer another shooter like Harrell in the lineup. Mac will choose Dingman or Kreklow though.

PG - Chatman
SG - Milliken
SF - Harrell
PF - Artino
C - Hanson

A lot of options for the team this year. Only thing set in stone is Chatman. Everything else is a wash. I doubt that we will have a true freshman starter. We have a couple of good ones, but I think there's too much depth ahead of them for them to start IMO. One may RS, but there is a lot of practice time before that gets decided

PG: Chatman
SG: Zierden / MIlliken - It appears that Zierden may be ahead at this point according to some reports from practices. Milliken is talented, but Zierden is fundamentally so sound and his shooting could be hard to keep off the floor.
SF: Dingman/Kreklow + Harrell/Gilmore- same with Dingman. He's become a defensive stopper and is a physical guy who can push the ball and get to the basket. If he regains his 3 pt shot, he will be a definite fixture in the lineup

It gets very tricky for the last 2:
PF: Artino/Kreklow (Hegner likely a backup at this point, but I think he could make a big jump forward in a short time) + Gilmore
C: Artino/Groselle or Hanson

Artino looks to be a starter either way either at the 4 or 5. If we go big he slides to the 4. If we go small he's at the 5.. right now I'd guess he starts at the 4 with Hanson and Groselle at the 5, but in given games I can see us going big and small.

A lot of practices to go, though.. I fully expect things to keep changing.
