Fox Sports 1 Update

I read in the WSJ yesterday the Rupert Murdoch is cross promoting FOX shows with BE basketball and that Sean Hannity and Gretta Van Sustern were going to provide half time commentary for all Big East games.
They will try to weave their extreme distate of all things Obama and their latest birth certificate conspiracy theory into the the game strategy conversations, trying to draw parallels.
This will attract many hate filled white suburban rich guys to the telecasts.

I for one cannont wait!

fox is putting their in market nfl games now available on fox sports go. As the piece says, the hope is that's going to force some providers to agree to offer fox sports go, which would be good for the big east obviously....

The Fox Sports Go app had an update today and it specifically says to account for upcoming Big East content. So update your app if you haven't already. First offering will be a BE soccer match at the end of September.

As for FS1, they have many games on Saturday. The problem with the network so far other than basketball season, they lack live games during the week.

The only other option near term is Big Ten. They need to get some Big Ten events.

Yeah Big Ten now is close to a must for FS1. Big Ten is going to get a ton of $$$- either Fox overpaying or ESPN overpaying to keep FS1 out of the loop.

What they need is "must see" events. NFL for example or NCAA tournament games.

NFL out until I think 2021 or 2022..
NCAA Tournament out until 2025 or 2026.

Fox really should have started the network 2 years earlier when more rights were getting set to be done.
