just huge. To me- this year is so much bigger and more important than last year.. So far so good...

Obviously, you are talking VERBAL commitments here. Some of us have learned not to celebrate too much until the paperwork is in and all of the real commitments have been cleared to play by the NCAA (Not Consistent Athletic Association).

Players change their minds all the time, but I don't think academics will be an issue with this group.

If academics were the only determining factor, that would be great. However, Xavier has found out (both good and bad) over the recent years that:
a) Prospective verbally committed players change their minds before (and even after) they submit their LOI's. XU has both benefited and lost players this way.
b) Committed players who took exactly the same classes that were approved one year earlier by the NCAA were disapproved the very next year. The result --- two players had to pay their own way to Xavier and sit out the entire season (including practicing with the team) in 2012-2013 (Myles Davis and Jalen Reynolds).
All that being said, I am very pleased that Wojo is doing well in attracting quality players to Marquette and the Big East --- that is a very good thing for our young Conference!
