That is one killer Midnight Madness event. I am pretty sure X just does a dunk contest and maybe some meet and greet stuff.

I have been very disappointed with the lack of star power at SJU midnight madness in the past few years. It's fun, but you would think in NYC we could get huge names. We get artists who were big 10 years ago and mediocre names. I met John Anderson the ESPN anchor at one of the events but he was the biggest name there I have seen. Why can't we get Chris Mullin, Ron Artest, J Cole, Nas, Jay Z, etc.? Jay Z had a St. John's jersey on in some of his rap videos back in the day. I know he probably just wore it for the hell of it not necessarily being a big fan, but he's still a local NYC artist and we are the NYC team.

I see other people getting Drake and NBA All-Stars who played recently. Meanwhile, we get Lupe Fiasco and usually some obscure name from the media.
