New Creighton logo

The home for Big East hoops

I think it would be cool if the Big East (for select, marquee games) had teams use retro jerseys. Some schools have some really unique old uniforms. It would help bring back some nostalgia from the past. Who doesn't miss the Villanova 90's basketball uniforms/logo? Lord knows Marquette has more retro combinations that I do fingers and toes.

I love the 1941 version. Talk about a POed bird, that is it. Any logo will be fine I am sure but the 1941 bird has an attitude.

Disagree. Hate to say it, but it looks almost completely ripped off of a couple of the alternates used in the previous few years by Toronto.

I think the problem is there are only so many ways to make a bluejay look cool/intimidating.

I'm with robinreed, bring back the jay in the sweater!

Yup. Creighton fans should take this as a gift. Side profiles of animal mascots are just so terrible. That's why, thankfully, Marquette essentially hides it's awful new-ish "eagle" logo. Creighton has an awesome old logo to update/use that other schools don't.

That was great of ESPN to give White & Blue Review credit for the logo graphic they used from one of our articles. Have to admit, that was pretty neat. Polyfro from our site is putting together a post on some of the legal ramifications behind this, but generally the thought is that this issue will go away.

I'm assuming this will all eventually blow over with not much changed for either party. Until then, this is a significant amount of relatively free press for CU.

The old Billy Bluejay had a yellow beak and yellow legs. Actual blue jays have gray beaks and black legs.
