They showed a highlight of George playing at Indy last season, and it was extremely noticeable. 2 Feet don't sound like much- but you look at it, it is.

You have to just wonder what the long term impacts of this will be on USA Basketball. Not only with the pro's but I would think at the younger ages maybe even moreso.

Both Korver and Haywoood made the first cut to 16. Having 2 Big East guys on the USA team would be awesome.

Sounds like Korver and Hayward are both "on the bubble" to make the final 12 man roster.

From ESPN:
That would still leave seven players vying for the last three spots, with Colangelo adamant Thursday that no one has yet been ruled out.

Dallas' Chandler Parsons and Atlanta's Kyle Korver, on this scorecard, appear to be at the top of the list of those remaining seven. But it's by no means clear.

Sacramento's Rudy Gay, for starters, is an alumnus of the 2010 World Championship squad and has unexpectedly played ahead of Parsons in each of Team USA's two exhibition games, despite the fact he was only added to the group after Paul George's horrific leg injury suffered Aug. 1 in Las Vegas. DeRozan, meanwhile, has made an undeniable impression in the past two games with his ability to create his own shot, which has likely nudged him past Utah's Gordon Hayward.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Hard to read cause Korver has barely played that last two games, usually that's not a good sign.

Korver and Hayward both got cut last night. I'm not a fan of the makeup of this team at all.

I'll be honest, I'm not either. They have 5 true bigs (Davis, Cousins, Faried, Drummond, Plumlee). Only one of them (Davis) can even shoot out to 15-17 feet. I'm not even that down on them cutting Hayward as a Butler fan, but Parsons and Korver are two more shooters that they now don't have. Thompson and Curry are nice, but for the 2 exhibitions that were semi-competitive, Curry was in foul trouble most of the time, so it seems like this will be a fairly easy team to defend if teams can manage to hang onto the ball.

The team USA coaches have eons more knowledge as to what they need than I do, but I would be very surprised if this group wins it.

Gay over Hayward? Really? Well, I kind of lost interest in the team with PG got hurt and Durant left. But I do hope for the best. Go USA.

think a lot of this was coach k wanting to build his team to match up with Spain with the Gasol's.

Or rather he simply wanted to give the Brooklyn Nets backup center, and Duke Grad, Mason Plumlee, some PR.

Reminds me of 1988 when John Thompson was more concerned with getting his Georgetown Players reps on the team (and reserve squad) than he was winning the Olympics. Mourning had no business in the final 16 but he had signed with Georgetown, so there you go. Could of used a shooter, right Coach??
