Dayton then would love to be in the A10 if say VCU and SLU went to the Big East. Got it. That's the thing- like we saw in the WAC like 4 years ago when they tried to get BYU to come back everything but football- MWC got wind of this and asked Utah St. They said no, thinking everyone was 100% on board in the WAC. Well, MWC then asked Nevada and Fresno and they said heck yes. Same thing here. If Big East asks you better say yes- because if you think the conference would stick together- someone is going to say yes.

Murphy,

The Big East is back on ESPN via the Gavitt Tipoff, https://twitter.com/FOXSports1/status/4 ... 1963957248 .

Unless something is in the works, unlike the A-10, the Big East is leveraging its relationships to create scheduling partnerships to ensure our teams play strong/exciting non-conference games that are appealing to viewers nationally.

Where does it say it's back on ESPN? That tweet says it's on FS1.

The road games are on ESPN and Big Ten Network.

Every Big East fan should spend (no more than) five minutes on a board by the name of UDPride.

In one word, it = DELUSIONAL.

Sure UD wants to hang out with LaSalle, et al.

Believe me, none of you want these losers associated with this conference.

You'll only need 5 minutes.
Don't try to register there. They are too scared to let you comment. Closed board.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

Everyone at UD is very satisfied with the A10 and for the same reasons that Buzz left Marquette, UD will never join. It is interesting that this information has not filtered to this blog.

Oh I forgot, you are all living in the Fox News bubble of mis-information

murphy, you are doing more harm than good.

just a hunch, probably their intention.

I'm not here to troll or trash; just a simple comment:

As a UD alum and fan, I am 100% certain the school would (and should) join the Big East if ever given the opportunity.

That is what Dr. Curran's been working towards since he became President and nothing has changed with last year's success. Dayton is a Catholic school with a strong basketball tradition/heritage and would be best served aligning with similar institutions. I find it interesting UD is so polarizing to many on this board--as it's similar in many ways to all of the Big East members--Academics (with an exception or two), Culture, Size, Mission, etc.

I believe you're failing to put this into proper context. UD is a good school. However, notwithstanding what happened this past season, it's basketball tradition is faded. UD has been pretty bad for a long time otherwise.

Beyond all that, it's not about UD polarizing fans here; it's about UD fans on that board being delusional. I haven't visited that board for a while, but I can't imagine it has changed all that much. A lot of those guys actually thought UD had a chance at being invited into the Big East. Now that that has not happened, they take the position that UD is much better off remaining in the A10.

Having noted that, the guys on Blackburn Review are actually reasonably objective and truly funny.
