New England Recruiting Report guys put together a short list of potential NBA'ers that has 2 BE freshmen on it. Good stuff can't wait!

"Today, we turn the lens to the top incoming freshmen to come out of the local ranks, and examine which of those could one day walk across the stage at the NBA Draft."

Isaac Copeland, Georgetown

NBA Comparison – Otto Porter Jr.

Copeland is a classic late bloomer who was actually known as a low to mid-major prospect just two years ago and ultimately finished as the 15th best overall prospect in the national class of 2015. He’s headed to Georgetown where he could potentially follow in the footsteps of Porter as an incredibly versatile big wing. Like Porter, Copeland is long and lanky with good size and athleticism on the wing. Copeland handles and passes the ball well for his size, continues to extend his shooting range and is becoming much more assertive around the rim. Both are also versatile playmakers on the defensive end, capable of blocking shots, coming up with steals or potentially checking multiple positions. Porter’s versatility was an ideal fit for John Thompson III’s system at Georgetown and his stock blossomed as a result. The hope is that Copeland will again follow suit.

Paschal Chukwu, Providence

NBA Comparison – Gorgui Dieng

The 21st overall pick in last year’s draft, Dieng spent three years learning under Rick Pitino at Louisville before being NBA-ready. Dieng made dramatic improvement in each of his seasons in the college ranks and added 50 pounds to a naturally lean frame during that time. Chukwu will have a similar challenge upon arriving at Providence, but he also has similar upside. He’s a good athlete for his size, quick off his feet with both his first and second jumps and extremely agile. Dieng and Chukwu are both high level shot-blockers and have similar offensive games as well. Neither is much of a back-to-the-basket presence but they both offer something extra with their passing ability.
