Big East scheduling agreement with PAC12 coming

Postby Omaha1 » Mon Jun 09, 2014 9:04 pm

I know it was mentioned in another thread but I thought it was important enough to get its own. According to the Creighton AD who was on the Bluejay Banter radio show tonight, the Big East is working on a scheduling agreement with the PAC12 similar to that we have with the Big 10. He also said that Creighton would not play Nebraska in the Gavitt Games. Instead, we will continue to play NU home-home and then we will play a different team in the tipoff games which is really exciting news here.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

With all the news coming out today, I am beginning to believe Val and Fox really are doing a great job in elevating all of our programs. Now lets make sure we don't halt the progress with another NCAA stinker like this year.

Really good to hear. For those who worry about the death of the BE, I think they are starting to realize we still have the cache that we used as far as other leagues are concerned.

This would be awesome. Maybe "East vs. West" theme with the games being played during a week after Thanksgiving but before Christmas (when holiday tournaments are played). Preferably before all the football bowl games start as well....

Great news if it happens! The B1G and PAC12 are powerful friends to have in our corner
