Ledo didn't play.

We lost Batts and Cotton, and now Fortune, from our six man rotation.

Our frontcourt should be okay. Backcourt is currently in shambles.

Per Jon Rothsein, Antoine Mason has cut his list of 14 schools down to 3: PC, BC and Auburn.

Man, this would really help with the loss of Fortune.

Yes getting the leading returning scorer in the country to replace Fortune would be most fortunate :)

Rosthein screwed up. Mason has not cut his list according to his dad (Per Zagoria)

My instinct tells me Dad is saying that to let the possibility of another school to come in that is a better opportunity. He is probably yelling at his Son right now for telling a friend/associate/whatever. Not like Rothstein to just make something up.

Why don't SJ and PC form a superteam?

You give us the frontcourt and we provide the backcourt of Jordan, Harrison, Branch, Greene. :P

By the way, Mason would almost definitely have come to SJ but he isn't allowed because we have his original team scheduled (Niagara). This makes no sense IMO and it's a really dumb rule, but I'm not as pissed once I saw his shooting numbers. It looks like he shot virtually everything at Niagara and was the definition of a massive volume shooter. Only about a 70% FT shooter (bad for a guard), unimpressive FG% .382 one year, .441 the next, and .440 the next. Also shot terrible from 3...he's in the high 20% range 2/3 years. Plus the fact that he did that against MAAC competition where there are really only a few good teams i.e. Manhattan/Iona.

He's definitely not an efficiency guy so if he's not a ball hog like he was at Niagara I think his numbers go way down. Maybe a 10-12 PPG guy instead of 25.

Reports are that he can talk to anyone but Niagara has the last call on saying no to a school. So if he likes St. John's he can tell Niagara he wants to go there and because they are on the schedule next year they can so no. But they can also say yes. So he could possibly end up at SJU.

SJ is not allowed to pursue him because of the scheduling rule. Idk why SJ doesn't just say "Ok fine, c ya you are now dropped from our schedule" and then pursue him. Playing Niagara is much more for them than it is for us. They get the chance to play a major conference brand name team. For us they are just a cupcake. Drop them and play someone else. It's weird that they wouldn't let him go to SJ because SJ and Niagara are actually sister schools and supposedly have a good relationship. Another interesting thing about SJ and Niagara is that Niagara beat our 1985 Final Four team with Mullin, Jackson, Berry, etc. I believe SJU was #1 in the country at that point.
