Cuse can play in Philly easily as well. Temple is very realistic.
DC is a bit harder- but I know for instance in football this year Syracuse plays Maryland. Very possible to see them play there some. If nothing else- Big Ten/ACC challenge.
So I think the impact of Big East scheduling them is a tad bit overrated. Also- quite frankly if Cuse played Temple or Maryland- that elevates those schools some.

I find it amazing that some of you would "Cut off your nose to spite your face". So because you think you can freeze Cuse out of NYC/Philly/DC (you can't) it will somehow be better for you and get back at Cuse. Tell that to your Athletic Department. Syracuse is the big bad villain that sells out your gyms...all those Cuse fans that come in are bringing in $$$ to your AD. The game gets on TV and is talked about. It is probably your biggest game of the year too for fan excitement. If you beat us it is a big story. In the east coast really only Duke can draw like Cuse does for the Hoyas/Cats and Johnnies. Kentucky maybe too...since Big Blue Nation travels so well.
Fortunately Nova and SJU figured that out...neither school has played the BS ticket scams to the extent like Georgetown has done. I think Georgetown will sign a long term contract to and the series can continue.

BTW, Duke has no place to complain. They only distribute about 75 tix to all teams...Cuse will sell visiting schools as many tickets as they want...no games.

I'm not focused on what Pitt or SU is doing, nor NC State, Clemson, etc.
It's not a matter of cutting-nose to spite-face, it's the readiness of the current BE and old BE to move on.
Also, a BE game vs SU is good, but it's more important for the Orangemen for northeast corridor exposure... and as much as it might seem to make sense, an SU game vs Temple does not grab anywhere near the same level of interest as vs Villanova, any more than an SU game vs LaSalle or St Joseph's or Drexel or Penn would. I mean, it's the name on the jersey as well as the city you're playing in.
