I am of the opinion that Hating Syracuse is a very big part of my Georgetown experience and it saddens me that I might not be able to pass that hate onto my kids one day and it not mean the same thing it once did.
I would be in favor of playing them every year. I would prefer a straight home and home.
I think Syracuse needs the series more than Georgetown at this point since Maryland left the ACC. Syracuse wants a game in DC they obviously have a lot of alumns in DC. I don't think the Hoyas should budge on their ticketing policy which is the same for all big games( Sell to your own fans first and delay sale to the public later than the rest of the games). Plenty of schools have the same policy and Georgetown should do nothing to accommodate Syracuse. But I do think the game should be played.

But Georgetown can schedule any top team in the country it wants, as it has in the past (Kansas, Michigan State). St. John's doesn't need to schedule Syracuse as it can bring in any top team for its RPI as well (Duke, UCLA). Nova can do likewise. On the other hand, Cuse needs games in NYC, Philly and DC. So I think the Orange benefit more from Big East scheduling then the Big East schools do. Now, St. John's has been playing Syracuse for decades so there is a long standing connection there. G"Town / Cuse was one of the top rivalries in the sport, so there is a connection there. So it is fine to either schedule them or not, but the Big East doesn't need Syracuse on its schedules as three are plenty of other schools out there that fit the bill for RPI.

You put Cuse in Verizon and it is sold out at 20k+...It would get your best TV ratings of the season too! Georgetown plays at the Dome and it has 30k+ on a weekend and ESPN gameday is a possibility.
Syracuse is playing SJU and Nova yearly...Georgetown can make this work if they choose.

What's ESPN...?
This would be a good series to continue, but I agree with those that say it's more important for Syracuse to continue it. Our major metro areas are valuable, and Kansas, UCLA, Michigan State and others, Duke, realize this.
Temple doesn't have the same juice as Villanova.
No one in metro DC has the same juice as Georgetown.
St John's is top dog in NYC, though early mini tourneys can be used by SU in MSG.
Plus, I can't wait for DePaul to turn things around in Chicago... they're a sleeping giant exposure wise.
