2014 Legends Classic

Just saw the 4 hosts for the Legends Classic were announced today...

Michigan, Oregon, VCU, and Nova

Really solid tourney- one of the best group of 4 teams I've seen for the early season tournaments next year. Right up there with Atlantis.

So right now:
Nova- Legends
Georgetown/Butler- Atlantis
Marquette/Xavier- Old Spice
St John's- NIT
Seton Hall- Paradise Jam
Providence- Hall of Fame
Creighton- Emerald Coast
DePaul- Diamond Head

that's all 10 teams set now for the exempt tournament for 2014

The NIT Tip-Off hosts are St. John's, Minnesota, Gonzaga and Georgia.

For any interested Marquette and Xavier fans, the rest of the Old Spice Classic field is Michigan State, Kansas, Tennessee, Rider, Santa Clara, and Georgia Tech.

Looks like another tough field. Have to assume Xavier/Marquette will play either Tennessee or Georgia Tech in round 1 and a victory in that would mean Kansas/MSU in the second round. This is of course with the assumption that they keep Marquette and Xavier on opposite sides of the bracket as well as Kansas/MSU getting the cupcakes in the 1st round.

for those that don't think Syracuse will continue to get to play in MSG just saw that they will be in the 2k Classic this November with 2 guaranteed games at MSG.

that is one ugly tournament quite frankly...

Huge game is the 1st game. You lose there and you're looking at Gardner Webb and then one of ODU, Illinois St, or Weber St. Really need to get to play Clemson and LSU to help with SOS- got a feeling you're going to be very similar to PC this year- right on the bubble.
