Former Mizzou guy if I think...if you've got a spot to use, I imagine there are worse things you could do with it.

If Creighton has another All-American walk-on, that would be quite the feat.

Jared Terrell has picked Rhode island over BC. He passed on a visit to Providence. URI was his second choice coming out of high school and he cited his strong relationship with Danny Hurley as the key factor in making his choice.

Good call... BC had hired Preston Murphy away from URI, and there were thoughts that Murphy's relationship with Terrell would pay off. Sorry, but from force of habit I like when the ACC loses out in any recruitment races... supposedly Pitt was also recently sniffing around.

No way to overstate how big this visit & this player is...would likely be preseason 1st team all-ACC next year. Great job by Lavs getting him on campus...if it happens.

From Zags:
Transferring Georgia Tech big man Robert Carter Jr. is currently on a visit to St. John’s. If all goes well, it’s possible he won’t take any more visits and could commit to the Johnnies tomorrow when he leaves the Queens school or later this week. “We might like it to a point that we don’t have to go anywhere else,” Winfred Jordan, Carter Jr.’s AAU coach, told SNY.tv by phone Monday. “He could stop right now.”

Jordan said Carter Jr. is also considering South Carolina, Maryland, Baylor and Texas, but no other visits are planned. “He’s probably going to take two more visits,” Jordan said before he mentioned that St. John’s could end up being the only one.

“He’s still there now,” Jordan said. “He loves St. John’s. Who wouldn’t love St. John’s? You get to play at Madison Square Garden. It’s one of the best colleges in the history of college basketball.” Jordan added: “I been knowing Steve Lavin and Tony Chiles for a while and we were exited when they showed an interest in him.”

Kreklow commits to CU as a walk-on. Decides to pay his own way over scholarship offers from a number of schools, including Missouri and Nebraska. http://www.omaha.com/creighton/cal-transfer-kreklow-says-creighton-the-best-fit/article_ce9820fe-cf7b-5f43-b253-06663b5fe509.html

I can't speak to Missouri, but I don't think Nebraska was involved with Kreklow anymore:

Jordan Cornish visiting today, but #Nebrasketball is no longer involved with Cal transfer and former Mizzou player Ricky Kreklow per source.

The reason it is funny is that about two weeks ago the front page of the sports section in Omaha had a large story dedicated to him visiting Nebraska. No mention of Creighton. Stories like that get planted in our paper all the time so it's comical that he passed over their offer to pay his own way at Creighton.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Not that the Indianapolis Star does this, but there are plenty of IU and ND outlets that do the same thing with Butler, and intentionally leave them out of a player's offer list or mention that player is visiting Butler as well. In any case, in the article he apparently stated that he only visited Butler, Missouri and Creighton as well, so who knows which side the interest with Nebraska flamed out on. Either way, Creighton gets some more depth on the wing and doesn't have to give up a scholarship to do it.

I am interested to see how it plays out on the court, but I kind of wonder what this means for a guy like Avery Dingman, who's essentially playing the same position as Kreklow and Ronnie Harrell and only has 1 year remaining as well. Either way, congrats on the commitment!

I believe one or both of his parents work at Mizzou. He could have taken a "parental discount" there and gone back for a second run. Interesting that he didn't go there. I saw him play a few times at Cal, he will be okay as a player off the bench, but at 5.5 ppg and 33% 3 point %, not a game changer.
