Is Josh even still on the GTown team and if he is does he even have any eligibility left?

Yes he is still on the team and he has a year of eligibility left.

If this kid gets in great shape he can be a real problem for opponents. He has a huge frame and you can't teach being 7 feet tall. I was sick of having sticks in the paint i.e. Obekpa/Sampson/Sanchez. You can't move this kid. From what I've seen he also has pretty soft touch around the rim. That's just a bonus though what we really need him for is eating up space and rebounding.

Very nice grab for the Johnnies. Nice to see Lavin getting a NYC player to stay in NYC.

All he has to get down to is 240-250, he`s about 300lbs now? Just lose 50-60lbs and he`s good to go.
It`s not nlike he has to lose 80-or 90.

He could maybe play 20min per and avg 7/8 boards per game. Maybe a block per game also.
Just be a presense in the middle.

Congrats SJU. You ef needed something to replenish the front court. My opinion is (which I concede means squat but...) the game has changed. It's difficult to hide large lumbering big men defensively. In the guard and wing dominated game of today, big guys like that can be exposed by simple screens and mismatches on the perimeter. I think the best big men in college hoops are the ones that are more mobile (Young at Fl, A. Gordon at Zona, Cauly-Stein, Embiid, etc). It's not that SJU can't be successful with a guy like this but I think it causes a team to change what they do well in order to assimilate that type of kid into the rotation. SJU will win or lose on the backs of Jordan and Harrison who are slasher scorers. Clogging up the lane with a big body might not compliment their games. I think SJU with guys like Sampson and Obekpa had the righht type of talent but Lavin just did a poor job of coaching them up. Maybe the big guy will change them into a slow down half court team. Hopefully it will suit Lavins coaching strengths better.
