Cardinals on FS1 tonight. That can't hurt ratings, at least in one market.

Baseball presentation is pretty good so far.

so let me get this right because FS1 went from airing 60k viewers with dog OOC games up to 200k for prime time best Big East games means FS1 gets a B+? I want some of what that guy is smoking. That's just idiotic. 9 of the March games was the Big East tournament that while drew flies compared to other conference tournaments was way better than anything else that FS1 had on.

March 1 Creighton/Xavier 180k
March 3 Xavier/Seton Hall 118K
March 4 Marquette/Providence 175k
March 4 Creighton/Georgetown 168k
March 6 Villanova/Xavier 169k
March 6 Butler/DePaul 71k
March 8 St John's/Marquette 112k
March 8 Georgetown/Villanova 74k
March 8 Seton Hall/Butler 44k

so the 9 regular season conference games got 123.4k viewers per game in March.

also- FS1 aired 24 games overall in March. average according to the report 200,080 viewers. Means a total of 4,801,920 viewers for the 24 games. Pac 12 championship got 680k viewers and the BE final got 702 k viewers. You take those 2 games out of the mix, and the channel averaged 155,450 viewers. You take out all the conference tourney games(both BE and P12)- and it's avg of 100k per game.

Stever sees no glass. Just a puddle on the bar waiting for the bartender to wipe it up. Heck, even the puddle is looking kind of scant for stever. I'm not entirely sure why dude feels the need to come piss in our puddle. I've seen his posts on the AAC board, I don't know why he doesn't just hang out there if the Big East is so terrible. Oh well, that's what the "foe" option is for. Got nothing against you personally stever, just tired of reading all the downer posts.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Oh. My. God.

Do you ever adjust your expectations to reality or do you just like getting mad? It's a freaking BRAND NEW CHANNEL. It is stupid to expect this thing to be getting the same ratings with a station that has been around 25 years within its first year. Really, really stupid.

I have no problem saying it's a brand new channel. But to say this year is a B+ for FS1 just because ratings went up 200% from dog OOC games in November to March with all the conference tournament games- that's a bit idiotic. Man, I wish I had that grading scale when I was in school. It's really a meaningless comparision and not one to base a grade on this season on at all.

If anything, I'd give this year on FS1 probably like a C. Average. Next year will be a lot more telling, as we'll have year vs year comparisions. I think it will be interesting to see if FS1 with how pathetic some of those OOC games ratings were puts them on FS2 or FSN. They could air anything else and it'd get the same ratings, and wouldn't bring down the overall basketball ratings. Also, will be interesting to see the # of games that CBS and CBSSN have.

Caught some if it. I though Tom Brennaman was quite boring. He's the Cincy announcer, right? What is he doing on a National game with the Reds playing?

There is only one thing that will be able to save FS1: football.

Basketball has absolutely zero baring on the long term health of FS1. FS1 needs to appeal to the football market in order to get carryover to the basketball games. SEC, Big Ten, and Pac 12 are obviously out. I would go hard for ACC next time the contract expires.

Cardinal fans hate him...but hey, we're in St. Louis and hate pretty much everybody. Fox Sports Live needs some work, but there were some good things going on.
