They get a new coach and they win again. I'd like to know what their formula is ?

If memory serves me, they tend to win with a senior star guard who can take over a game.

Perhaps it's their fabulous football program? Actually I admire UCONN BB but can think of no single reason why they are always relevant.

Well didn't Calhoun get all those guard recruits who consist of the best backcourt in the country? Ollie hasn't shown he can recruit at Calhoun's level yet…he used Calhoun's already seasoned recruits. That's what happens when you have a HOF coach leaving the program in great shape. Now obviously since they just won the championship their recruiting will be great even if Joe Schmoe was the coach. So not really sure it's as much a reflection of Ollie as it is of Calhoun and UConn's championship.

Obviously Ollie had to have done something right to get his team this far, but he was left a very rich inheritance by a HOF coach. Too bad UConn is still in the AAC with Tulane, Tulsa, SMU, East Carolina, UCF, Houston, etc. They would be a great asset to the Big East. I was talking to UConn fans when I was in the city at a bar watching the game and they said most of their fans would love to go back to this conference and put basketball over football. They say the football screwed them.

Patrick Sellers (Creighton assistant coach) actually helped recruit Shabazz to UCONN. Hopefully he can do the same for Creighton.

Unfortunately, Ollie appears to be off to a fine recruiting start.

2014:
Daniel Hamilton - #18 Rivals
Rodney Purvis - McD's Transfer from NC State

2015:
William Jackson - #48 Rivals
Prince Ali - #68 Rivals
