One more in the barn, three more to go. I don't care if he was a Burger King dishwasher, if he can hoop, he will be a welcome site at Hinkle. Coach Miller certainly closed that deal fast.

It really does matter that he was a McD AA tho. It will help pave the road for future highly rated recruits & it helps shed the mid-major label. Great get all around BU.

Villanova:

PG - Ryan Archidiacono (Jr.)
SG - Darrun Hilliard (Sr.)
SF - Josh Hart (So.)
PF - JayVaughn Pinkston (R-Sr.)
C - Daniel Ochefu (Jr.)

Bench:
F - Kris Jenkins (So.)
G - Dylan Ennis (R-Jr.)
G - Phil Booth (Fr.)
F - Mikal Bridges (Fr.)
F/C - Darryl Reynolds (So.)

Core returns - lose James Bell who appeared to lose his shooting legs at the end of the year and backup guard Tony Chennault.

We will be playing a tough OOC with Cuse at home, Maryland @ MSG, @ Mich St., Mich/VCU/Virginia @ Barclay's, and Big 5 games.

Looks like Moses Ayegba will be transferring. Not a huge surprise as he will graduate and be eligible to play right away else where.

Doesn't affect the team much as long as smith stays out of trouble.7'0 Bradley Hayes finally showed some flashes of promise, so he'll likely take over moses' role. Hoyas may still add Alonzo Mourning's son Trey to the team as well. The son of the newly elected hall of famer is also being recruited by Florida.

Moses was a member of our invisible frontcourt this year. Best of luck to him wherever he lands.

Tyler Lewis will fit in well with Butler. He's a pass first guy, and he was normally pretty strong on the ball. He'll take the open shot, but he's not a guy looking for his own shot as much as finding the open man. Since most of the Butler teams I've seen can shoot the rock, it seems that he could be a key piece to their offense when he is eligible.

He had some trouble with Jett and McCall in the tournament, but nothing that getting a little stronger can't cure.

Georgetown's Aaron Bowen will be back next year. Moses Ayegba will transfer and be eligible to play next year.

yup officially announced by the school. I expect Stephen Domingo will transfer as well. So Hoyas will have 2 open schollies for next year and I expect us to bring one extra person in to the team either by transfer or new signing.

Starters
1 - Austin Chatman (Sr.)
2 - Isaiah Zierden (RS-So.)
3 - Leon Gilmore III (Fr.)
4 - Toby Hegner (RS-Fr.) or Ronnie Harrell (Fr.)
5 - Zach Hanson (So.)

Bench
6 - PG Devin Brooks (Sr.)
7 - SG James Milliken (RS-Jr.)
8 - SF/PF Ronnie Harrell (Fr.) or Toby Hegner (RS-Fr.)
9 - SF/SG Avery Dingman (Sr.)
10 - C/PF Will Artino (Sr.)
11 - SF/SG Darian Harris (RS-Fr.)

I expect this to be the starting lineup later in the season, not early on.
I think the OOC starting lineup will be the same as or similar to Omaha1's post.

Pretty close, I think, but a few tweaks:

1: Chatman; Zierden; Brooks - I don't know that they trust Brooks to run the point more than a few minutes at a time. Z holds onto the ball and makes good decisions
2. Milliken/Zierden/Brooks - Milliken might win this job as he's gotten rave reviews during his RS year. He was a JUCO who RS'd due to both Doug and Gibbs coming back. Otherwise Zierden was coming on last year prior to having his season ended due to a knee injury.
3. Dingman; Harris/Gilmore/Harrell - Dingman can match up defensively, but needs to get his shot back. Harris is a RS who played PG in HS and has deep range on his shot; Gilmore is a big, athletic slasher who can play here and at the 4; Harrell might also play the 2 (I don't think he's a 4, by any means) and has the potential to both handle and shoot from very long range, but could maybe use a year to RS and build up strength and bulk.
4. Hegner/Gilmore/Hanson/Artino - wide open competition here. Hegner has a varied offensive game, outside and inside and runs 6-9. If they want a stretch 4, he might be it. Gilmore can play here as he's up to 6-8 and 225 or so now and is very athletic. I expect him to play the 3 and 4 this year. Hanson can play anywhere in the post at 4 or 5, while this might be a better spot for Artino as he's not big enough to match up every 5 in the post
5. Artino/Hanson; Groselle - I think that we can cobble together a decent rotation of these 3. Artino is productive and a matchup problem for some 5's, but can be bullied in the post. Hanson played very well as a true frosh> Groselle is the most prototypically sized 5 on the roster and had Colorado and Iowa offers coming out of HS, but had achilles tendon surgery last summer and still is trying to come back.

Certain starters - Chatman, probably Dingman and maybe one of Artino or Hanson somewhere. Chatman's the only guy certain to get more than 20 minutes a game IMO. Other than that it will be wide open and even more wide open depending on how CU uses the last scholarship. Lots of young talent and I expect over 50% of the minutes to go to freshman and sophomores. More athletic and long than last year, but inexperienced. McDermott and the other coaches will earn their salary this year early on, but this team could be a tough matchup down the stretch if they develop like I think they could.

Great assessment Chicagojayfan!
I still think Hanson will get the nod over Artino at the 5, as he won't get pushed around as much. I see Hegner at the 4 (you're right there, Harrell probably needs to put on more weight/muscle to play the 4). I was wavering between Zierden and Milliken starting, I went with experience in Zierden there in my prediction with Milliken being second off the bench. Having said all of that though, I don't know how much being a "starter" will matter for the Jays next year. I think there will be a lot of players getting around 10-20 mpg, which will really help come late February/March.
Didn't you say you made a spreadsheet of playing time on BluejayUnderground? Can you post that on the board?

2-3 Jalen Lindsey, freshman.
2-3 Junior Lomomba, soph transfer.
3-4 Rodney Bullock, freshman rs.
4 - Ben Bentil, freshman.
5 - Paschal Chukwu, freshman.

Wildcard: desperately need 1 or 2 point guards in addition to Kris Dunn.
Moving on: graduates Bryce Cotton, Kadeem Batts, Ted Bancroft, Lee Goldsbrough and Brice Kofane.
All on the 2015 roster are Cooley recruits. Josh Fortune had committed under Keno Davis, but Ed had to re-recruit him after taking the PC job.

@JonRothstein: Early prediction on Providence's starting five --- Kris Dunn, Rodney Bullock, Tyler Harris, LaDontae Henton, Carson Derosiers....

Makes sense!

@JonRothstein: An under-the-radar key piece for Providence? Cleveland St transfer Junior Lomomba. Will be Friars' secondary ball handler behind Kris Dunn.

Looks like Cooley knew he was getting a baller even if others didn't, again.

@JonRothstein: Palpable buzz at Providence surrounding freshman PF Ben Bentil. Beyond physically imposing. Will be in discussion for Big East ROY.
