Oh I forgot they don't have an AD and their new President doesn't take over until the Fall. ick - yeah people might be skittish of taking a job that there may be tension with a future AD. Why didn't they just interim someone from the assistant staff then until a new AD was found instead of asking them all to clear out their desks - or were none of them worth it?

I'd say a pretty solid hire. 12th former Coach K player/assistant to be a head coach at a D1 program.

Maybe not a sexy hire, but a solid one.

Not that it really matters now that the search is over but we have an interim AD, Bill Cords. Cords was the Marquette AD before our recent one "retired." He oversaw Marquette's recovery from the down years, and led us into the Big East. He retired because he thought he was getting too old for the position, but came back on an interim basis.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
