Hard not to admire the Blue Jays - coach, players, fans, arena, etc. The Big East is lucky to have Creighton.

Really like McDermott as coach. He seems like a no BS guy but will have his kids' backs no matter what. He was holding back tears in that video and what he said was truthful: "Don't you dare let this be the last memory you have". Creighton had a magical recent run with Doug and very high rankings. Having a POY with 16,000 people in attendance and a top 10 ranking is the dream of most fanbases and programs around the nation. You guys should be very proud. You came in and answered the question whether you could seriously compete at this level pounding Nova twice and finishing 2nd. Hopefully your recruits fit in seamlessly and Creighton continues on.

Must be nice knowing you have a good coach who appears to be decent enough recruiting, a good X and O's guy and someone the players leave everything on the court for. We wouldn't know what that feels like here in Queens

Yeah, I loved that line a lot. I know I coach youth basketball, and always that last game if you lose is like that- no matter what. I might have to use that line some myself- it really is perfect for the situation.

Fully expect the moment when Doug got taken out for the final time to be on one shining moment in 10 days.
