Personally I hope Mack leaves. I grew up going to the games with my dad during the Gillen / Prossser era. Then experienced the new heights the program was taken to under Matta / Miller. My issue with Mack isn't necessarily basketball success. It's that Mack doesn't seem to care about the image his teams present. The water fountain incident and the "gangsta" commentary after the UC fight. Would never have happened under the previous four coaches. I was also disappointed that Xavier oversigned players this year. I know coach cal does that stuff, but I want to win the right way, not just win. With any luck Mack will leave and Pat Kelsey will become X's next coach

My beef with Mack is his teams are simply no fun to watch. I get all the secondary factors: integrity, winning, etc. At the end of the day. The game is supposed to be fun and he instills no enthusiasm. Prosser, Matta and Miller had players that would die for their coach. I almost feel current players are relieved to get out of X nowadays.

What a stupid post. Do you know how far X would fall back if Mack left? You could kiss a Top 15 recruiting class goodbye.

How do you know what would've happened under the previous four coaches? This year's team was full of great kids. This group of kids coming in by all accounts are all good kids.

Yep, I mean Mack has been at Xavier 5 years and he's only been to the NCAA tournament 4 times with 2 Sweet 16's.

He can't recruit either, which is evident by the Top 15 class he signed and is bringing in this year.

Pretty sure Miller was the HC that brought those 'gangstas' in so I don't know how you can say it wouldn't have happened under the other coaches. Nice try though.

Please look at my previous posts, I think you will change your mind about me being an Dayton fan. You can be a fan of the school but not the coach. Or at least admit that the coach isn't perfect. Also I post infrequently at musketeermadness under the same username. Stop trying to make everything a battle between X and UD

You are correct that Miller brought in both Tu and Lyons, but he had much more control over his teams and still does. I truely believe that his players wouldn't have made those comments afterwards, you disagree Which is fine.

There was a time that Xavier was viewed as a good character school, remember when Skip benched Sears and Rose before a NCAA tourney game against Georgetown for off court issues, do you think Mack would do that? I don't.

As for the comments about me being dumb, I maybe, but I don't think winning is everything and in the long run I think x will be better off without Mack
