Liking the big names so far. Let's see if any of them are actually interested though.

Would be a home run hire IMO along with Smart (whose from Wisconsin).

I don't see Smart being interested. He would probably get a $1 million raise, but he has a great gig going on at VCU, and he is probably waiting for some of the old timers in the ACC about to retire in the next 5-10 years (Coach K, Williams, Boeheim).

Having said that I would do cartwheels if Smart was hired. I think Marshall is a more realistic (yet unlikely) candidate.

I see it coming down to Howland or Wardle. Wardle is currently the favorite.

Marshall is very happy at Wichita. I doubt he is going anywhere. If he does move, MU fans better get used to becoming Juco U.

Whatever we do we need to do fast. Players have begun requesting release from their letters of intent.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

That is quite common in cases like this. They ask for a release, but will wait until a new coach is named to react.

With a win tonight, guess who just put himself near the lead for the Marquette job?

That's right, Archie Miller.
