I think Ohio State presents problems for Dayton and SF Austin presents issues for VCU. Other than that, I think the A10 should do quite well. St. Louis may have the best draw. No offense to X or NC State, but St. Louis is well rested losing early in the A10 tournament while X and NC State will have less than 48 hours to prepare and have to travel from Dayton.

Only thing I'd say in each of the 3 years, 1 of the teams that won on Tue/Wed have gone on to make at least the 3rd round.
VCU 2011- final 4
USF 2012- rd of 32
LaSalle 2013- sweet 16

so it's not been just an automatic win for the team that has to play the winner of a first 4 game.

I'm still mulling the UMass v TN/IA matchup. Any insight? I'm leaning to IA, with the deciding factor being the Coach's son surgery. That may give the Hawkeye's that extra incentive to win for the kid.

I'm also undecided on Pitt/CO. I know CO lost Dinwiddie a while back and haven't been the same since.

The last one I am tossing up and down is KY v KS State. The Big 12 was the toughest conference this year so every game KSU played was against a very tough opponent, and you never can figure out KY's freshmen. One game brilliant, the next one they are MIA.

Bracket completed. If I'm right, it doesn't look good for the A-10.

UCLA over VCU in Round of 32
Villanova over St. Joe's in Round of 32 (en route to the Elite 8)
Xavier over Saint Louis in Round of 64
Ohio State over Dayton in Round of 64
Memphis over George Washington in Round of 64
Al McGuire: "What is this?"
Waiter: "Mr. McGuire, that is a cull lobster. Sometimes when the lobsters are in the tank, they fight. This one lost a claw."
Al McGuire: "Well then take this one away and bring me the winner."

I am happy for the A-10 today. Dayton and Saint Louis fought hard against some tough competition. They have been criticized by the media for not being deserving of 6 schools in the tournament. I think they proved otherwise tonight.

And UConn had to go OT to defeat St Joseph. I'm not sure the A-10 had to prove anything. They have been a tough league all year. We saw last year that they were a solid league when we were in it. Coach K is probably choking on his words right now.

As close to 3 as they were 0. All 3 were tight games that could go either way in the final seconds. 3 of the most entertaining games of the day.

Entertaining...well, that wasn't the word I was using, but it fits now.

Thank you.

You better give one to Coach Mack too. :D

At least I don't look as bad as Coach K, who now looks like a complete ass for his comments disparaging anyone - as does Dickie V for his constant fawning praise for Coach K and the Dookies. Dicke V is a complete joke as an analyst since he never analyzes anything. in place of actual analysis, he just postures as a total suck up to any of the big names in the sport. I can't believe that guy is still on the air. I turn off the sound or change the channel any time he comes on.

I agree. Coach K spent too much time complaining about the lack of respect his ACC got and not enough time looking at game film. I'm sure he's now saying that the Atlantic Sun gives the ACC no respect, or something like that. Shows you that solid seniors can trump McDonald All-American One and Doners.

Unfortunately for me, Duke just tore my bracket apart. So much for them getting to the Elite Eight.

I doubt that Coach Mack is watching the tourney anymore.

Good Tennessee taking UMass behind the woodshed early.

If Martin could figure out how to get more good UT...
