Oops... had this in wrong thread...

If I was allowed to play defense like Russ Smith, I'd be an All-American... opponent takes ball up court, I climb on his back like a rodeo cowboy until he trips, then I pick ball up a run the break... see, I'm an All-Star...! Bonus points for Pitino yelling at ref the whole time saying that I'm being fouled... double-bonus for me being allowed to camp out in the paint for ten seconds...

Russ Smith needs a hard Henton-type pick... it's nuts what he's allowed to do... play D with a forearm in the PG's chest... unbelievable... even with all that, Manhattan is keeping it close...

Crushing defeat for Manhattan. They did themselves proud. Louisville broke my heart. Manhattan's been my mid major for a long time. I thought the Jasper's were going to pull this one out.

Al McGuire said a long time ago that teams who press don't like to be pressed. Manhattan proved the old coach to be right and in so doing laid out the blue print for beating Louisville. Problem for other teams is this wasn't a gimmick they concocted for this game. They played this way all year. Wichita State can play pressure defense of their own. A WSU-Louisville game promises to be a great matchup.

A lot of people saw this game and had to be impressed with Masiello's coaching. What a great job he did! He's eventually on his way to a big job if/when he wants it.

DePaul could really use Masiello... energetic fun team to watch and a great young coach. Would definitely re-ignite the Blue Demons program and get the crowds back in Chicago.

Ok, todays games. Apart from the usual BE teams and underdogs I am always rooting for. These games interest me.

12 SF Austin vs 5 VCU - Wasn't SF Austin undefeated? Regardless, they have never seen defense like VCU.

9 OK State vs 8 Gonzaga - Don't know why this one interests me.

11 Providence vs 6 North Carolina - This is the biggest game of the day for the Holy Land. Haven't really watched UNC but seen a lot of Providence and if their supporting cast can help out they can play with anyone.
