Well it is for the Big East bashers, isn't is Stever?

unfortuately yes. for us, A10 looking really good would not be good for us at all- especially if PC loses on our side.

Wouldn't Coach K be on the hot seat...? Without any prompting, the dude went off on the A-10. Dayton just beat OSU, so K looks like an idiot. If Saint Louis knocks off NC State that'll be a second feather in the A-10's cap. By being a horse's ass, Coach K really did us a favor by making this an ACC-vs-A10 battle. Right now, we in the Big East are just watching from another table like the Big 12 and Pac-12.

So now this board is for everyone?

If we could all stop acting like 3rd graders, I see no reason why it couldn't be.

I can't see why people want to bash the A-10. They had a great season. I think we are the better league in the long run and I like having a "little brother" conference to root for against the BCS conferences. The conference I root against is the AAC and I am not too worried about them either.

Down goes the best American team. Unless you count Louisville who is leaving

I think the problem for a lot of folks is the A10 is a lot closer to the Big East than they would ever care to see them. 6 tourney teams this year, with none in the PIG. It's for them too close for comfort. Long run in some ways at this point is meaningless, comparsions are getting made with the conferences as they stand currently due to the fact that all the moves happened last year.

I think the question is going to become, if the A10 has a great tournament this year, does that change anything with the Big East presidents? Or Fox? I'd kind of think maybe nothing happens this year, but if it's a similar type scenario next season with similar results-NCAA teams seeded the way they were/tv ratings- then the presidents may have no choice but to act. At some point, the Big East I think has to act if things don't change.

I definitely think the Big East brass is more concerned about the A10 than they are the AAC.

Knowing they can always pluck a few of their top teams away from the A10, I don't think the BE is worried at all.

Does the AAC lose points for American losing today? I think so. If there was a Big East University, I would count it against this league. So the AAC is 0-2 so far!

I think the big danger becomes if it gets near the end of the A10's contract and it's still the same type of situation. ESPN could throw more money at them to keep them happy and in the A10, and away from Fox. One thing to remember if they're getting close to the same TV money, the NCAA units would make up the difference. I think we need to strike sooner rather than later....

Also, if the A10 keeps on having 5-6 tourney teams a year, even if we take 2, they're still going to have 3-4 before any additions that could help them out. I mean, look at this year. A10 lost Butler, Temple, Xavier, and Charlotte. All finished in the top half of the conference, and were 2 of their 5 NCAA teams- with 1(and should have been 2) of the 3 NIT teams as well. So they lose 3 of their 8 NCAA/NIT teams, and this year they come back and they have 6 NCAA teams, and no NIT teams only because Richmond or St Bonnies didn't get in due to the absurd number of auto bids for the NIT. I'd guess we're only going to expand to 12 when we do expand, so it likely won't be able to hurt them as much as we would like to hurt them...

Totally agree. Every A-10 team (including mine the Flyers) would take an invite in a nanosecond.

BE fans, this is 1 year, way too small of a sample size to worry. And Creighton + Villanova could make deep runs.

UConn is playing pretty bad. Only AAC team I'm cheering for. Not because they're playing St joes, because my mom and big sister went there and that's always been the requirement at our house.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
