It will take time for FS1 to be "habit forming". If Syracuse fans can find it, anyone can. Need to be patient, work in progress.

Who are these X fans that think their shit don't stink? Seriously, the new Cuse fans of the Big East hands down.

Lol no, he didn't. He took a shot at the segment that has delusions of grandeur, much like a very vocal (and actually fairly large) segment of Dayton fans. Now, maybe that hit close to home if you agree with SJHooper on SJU's current greatness, and you mistakenly generalized your own perception to the whole fanbase.

By the way, Xavier fans only seem to have problems with you and him (and everyone has problems with him). You probably shouldn't think you're representing your whole fanbase on that front either.

Once again, learn how to read.

There is no way we could all endure having to deal with both SJU and UD fans. "Oh yeah, way back in 19 ought something our basketball team was awesome!" Blah, blah, blah.

Where did he mention just a certain segment? Like I said before, you can shut up too.

Haha I see you're reading him literally to maximize how offended you can be. Might be influenced by the fact that you and SJHooper are disproportionately vocal among SJU fans here, which is unfortunate.

By the way, just to clarify:

Whats unfortunate is that you X fans think you're smarter than you actually are. Oh and If you paid attention, I was telling Hooper to shut up prior to your boy bad mouthing the SJU fan base. Maybe you shouldn't be so defensive and tell your annoying posters to shut up sometime as well.

Have fun being the new Cuse fans.

The 7 schools knew that keeping the name and MSG were the most important thing and they were right. Despite it all the BET at MSG is still the best it gets for CBB regular season viewing, nothing else comes close.

This thread brings a smile to my face:

The ACC has a split personality problem. The southern schools have zero interest in going north and schools like Syracuse cannot fathom the attraction of the ACC tournament in Greensboro. I think the ACC would bet better off holding their tournament in either Charlotte or Atlanta. At least they are major cities with plenty of hotel space, airport access, and things to do. Greensboro is even more small town than Raleigh is and Raleigh, where I live, is very much small town. UNC, Duke, and NC State have a huge home court advantage in Greensboro and don't want to give it up. It will be interesting to see how this plays out over the next few years.

I agree, Greensboro is a joke. I can understand why Cuse fans do not want to go there. What the hell is the attraction there? I've lived in North Carolina as well.

Nice outsider post I took from the Syracuse board:

Agree--that game was so enjoyable to watch--most fun game I watched all weekend. Just a plethora of reasons to root for Providence last night--underdog, original Big East team, a Creighton loss helping SU, Cooley being a great guy, and the coaching job in general that Cooley has done with this team after losing a couple of key guys. And no one even mentioned Gus and Raf doing the game---how great were they?! Classic Gus when McDermott hit those 2 threes during the late comeback, and he might have lost it had he hit that 3rd one "from Omaha". And a couple people mentioned the electricity at MSG---totally agree---you really could feel it through the TV. And have to admit, was a bit surprised after reading all negative posts about the new BET and the attendance. But it was quite obvious the Garden was rockin'! The Mecca is still the Mecca, with or without the Orange!

Mostly historic I think. It is no team's home court and the ACC's office is in Greensboro. When the ACC was just UNC, NC State, Duke, Wake, UVA, MD, and GaTech, it was pretty easy to get to for all schools and fit the conference footprint pretty well. When half your schools and their fans can drive to a location in less than an hour, you know you'll sell the tickets. As the ACC had grown and expectations from visitors has ratchet it, it has clearly outgrown Greensboro.

It is a nice facility, I was there the other night with my daughter for the Notre Dame - Duke women's championship game. From Raleigh I can get there in less than an hour so you don't have to stay in Greensboro and people I know who go to the games commute back and forth.

As a sju alum and someone who has followed the conference from it's inception, congrats to the friars and blue jays on a great tournament. You and your fans did a great job of continuing the Big East tradition. I'm disappointed, again, with my alma mater, but will be pulling for the four brother schools who made the cut.

Lol I'm not defensive at all, but I think it's ironic that one of the more defensive posters on this board, across all the fanbases, is making that charge. I'm amused by your pissy posts, especially your weak attempts to try to upset me.

And I did note that you seem to not like SJHooper, as you were telling him to shut up in this thread and I'm pretty sure you have before on previous occasions (Might want to avoid "shut up" as your go-to comeback, by the way, just to ensure you don't get compared to the average 10-year-old that thinks he's clever). SJHooper is the ultimate embarrassment to your fanbase, so I can understand being annoyed by him and wanting him to be quiet due to his association with your program (since everyone else is laughing at him).

You sure seemed to be rushing to his defense. God forbid anyone says anything to a X poster. You guys can talk all the shit you want about SJU fans. It's a constant on these boards.

Oh and shut up is the easiest and most direct way to tell someone to stop talking. It's what people in New York do, you know New York right? The place where things actually matter.

Lol still not upsetting me. And your delusions of persecution is a nice foil to SJHooper's delusions of grandeur.
