10 players to watch (2014-15)

Another congrats to PC. Really enjoyed our round robin format and seeing tons of BE games on FS1, and catching 8 of the 10 teams live at the BET. Was thinking with guys like Starks, Bell, DM, Cotton all moving on, which one player from each team has the makings to be the man.

Nova - Hilliard. Prob played better than Bell for most of the BE season. Can do it all.
CU - Chatman. Really impressed seeing him in person. Quick as hell. Could be Cotton-like with all the fire power leaving Omaha.
PC - Harris. Great size, soft touch. Needs to develop a more killer instinct IMO and learn how to take advantage of his size.
XU - Reynolds. Beast. Cut down on fouls and work on a couple moves. Could be a force and soon.
SJU - Jordan. With his size and quickness I expect him to be one of the best PG's in the...country next year. Hope Lavin can coach him up to it.
Marq - Burton. Holy crap does this kid have upside. Gonna be a great one IMO.
Gtwn - Cameron. Just seems to lack confidence. If he finds it, he'll join DSR as the scoring options next year.
SHU - Gibbs. They lose a lot, but gain a lot of young talent. They need a solid upperclass leader to lead.
Butler - Dunham. I know, easy pick. But he can go off for 40 one game and then be held in check the next. If Brown and Chrabacz can make some small steps forward it may take some of the load away from Dunham that will help him blossom to a first team ABE.
DePaul - Anyone else more excited about Hamilton than they are for BG jr.? I am. The kid is big, can shoot it from deep, seems to have pretty solid basketball IQ. Shed a little of the baby fat and he could become a major talent.

A fantastic first year to all. Good luck in the tourneys everybody.
Go Nova!

Good stuff. My only disagreement is on DePaul. Hamilton may have some upside, but Garrett does stuff that wins games. Just a great game against the Hoyas in the tourney. Really impressed with how he passes the ball AND gets to the basket. Obviously a coach's kid.

Definitely excited about Jalen Reynolds. Also VERY happy to have Justin Martin coming back.

Even if Semaj doesn't come back, the trio of Martin, Stainbrook, and Jalen returning will be awesome.

I'm also extremely excited about Remy Abell. I've heard that he was consistently the best player at Xavier practices this year. At X's pre-season viewing for the fans, he was a scoring machine and appeared like a man among boys in all aspects of the game. Also, a Christon return would be wonderful for Xavier and for the Conference.

This excites me too. Among other conference teams, there are few things I want to see more than a completely healthy season of Kris Dunn. He's a game-changing player, provided he can stay injury-free.
