This. Game shows how unpredictable games are between teams who are playing for the 3rd time in a season.

In addition to that our only 2 guards that can handle the ball in Gibbs is basically a 1st year player as he didn't play much at Texas andSina is a freshman. They both played well but were inconsistent. Next year we bring in the best HS scoring guard in the country as well as the second best NYC guard as well as the best rebounder in the country. I would probably expect more inconsistent play having so many freshmen playing big minutes but if Sina and Gibbs become more consistent then we have a chance to be good. Of course every other team here is recruiting well so I expect battles every night

If St. John's hasn't proven to you that recruits mean nothing, then no team will. Recruits are nothing until they can prove their worth. And most don't.

I have no idea what that means. All I know is Sina was a big time get for SHU late in last year's recruiting season and now he's delivering as our starting PG. He's helped deliver the school's first victory ever against a top 3 ranked opponent. Can't wait for next game & can't wait for next year's recruiting class either. Go Pirates!!!

He is referring to all the great recruits Lavin has without a trip to the NCAA. And he is right, good recruits don't always pan out. SJU should be better next year with Jordan being a sophomore PG, when he picked it up late season you were a tough team.

It also shoes the risks in a one-and-done tournament that face a team that depends heavily on the 3.

Per ESPN, Lunardi still has Nova as a 1 seed.

I know what you are saying but that's not what I got from the other post. He seemed to be saying SHU fans shouldn't be excited about our incoming recruits b/c sometime recruits don't pan out (I guess). My point was whatever to that Sina delivered this year. This is the Big East you're not going get bye simply by "coaching up" mostly low skill players...bring on the talent.
