Any game impressions? Crowd intensity? Pace of game? Foul trouble?

Very little rhythm to the game. Crowd solidly pro PC.

Josh Fortune making difference. I think PC/St J can become a consistent rivalry moving forward. Cooley relentlessly recruited obekpa, sanchez, and sampson. Some bad feelings with how that ended up. After the first PC win this year, there was some bickering and chatter between some upset Jonnie players. St. J won the second game and their was that hard foul at the conclusion when a player went for a dunk with the game already over. Now this game is basically a play in game.

Hoping pC pulls this off. The Jonnies are more talented but I think PC is the better team.

The Friars are certainly the better team today and it looks like the Johnnies are NIT bound. On the opposite end, I think Providence is now in the NCAA - and if not - they should get a win tomorrow against Seton Hall and seal the deal. I think a Xavier win locks them in as well tonight and that would mean four Big East teams in the NCAA. 40% in year one of the new league is not bad considering next season the league will likely be an absolute beast.

Why SJU did not press all game mystified me.

This game is over. Second best FT shooting team in the country with a 13 point lead and 5 minutes to go.

Couldn't be happier to have gotten a pick wrong. St.John's has blown a golden opportunity to go deep into this tournament with the advantage of having it played in their home floor. And then to be handed the gift of having Cotton on the bench with foul trouble - something that hasn't happened all year. Just amazing that St. John's couldn't take advantage of the opportunity. Wow!

And so another year where St. John's gets media hype and is supposed to break out and be the beast of New York comes and goes.

The emperor still has no clothes.
Al McGuire: "What is this?"
Waiter: "Mr. McGuire, that is a cull lobster. Sometimes when the lobsters are in the tank, they fight. This one lost a claw."
Al McGuire: "Well then take this one away and bring me the winner."

I really am glad PC won this…Jesus Christ what was that by SJ? When this team is in must-win mode they are at their worst. No killer instinct. No sense of urgency. No balls. You are on your home court getting destroyed by a team that has half the top 100 recruits. The BET is SJ's kryptonite. Absolute kryptonite. You could hold the team's families hostage and say "I won't shoot them if you make a deep run" and they'd still bow out early. They are just weak. They want to finesse you, they don't want to get down and dirty.

Oh well, like I said earlier, we probably don't make it but you couldn't have asked for a better scenario. Matched up vs. a good but very beatable PC team at home and in the next round is Seton Hall. Easily could have made the finals. But to do that you actually have to win big games, something this program doesn't seem to understand.

What an awful BET. No Nova, no G'Town, and now no St. John's. VOMIT. With 3 of the key teams out already we look like a joke to the nation. Could not be any worse than this.

And the Marquette fan talks crap after being swept by a bad SJ team. Oh, man. It gets better.

Johnnies trying to make one last push. Down 3 with 2 and change to go.

2 missed front ends have been huge for PC.

One too many passes or the Johnnies would have taken the lead.

Foul on Harrison the other way.
