You'd think they'd be aware that they are #2 in this conference and Providence is #3. When 2 teams are that close, #3 usually has a shot at the win. I hope the attitude here is pervasive on the Creighton campus and affects the players as well.
We heard similar comments when Marquette went into Providence this week. Marquette had beaten Providence 10 in a row, 11-1 since joining the Big East, etc, etc. But when they met on the court, none of that mattered. Providence won the Game.

Pretty common when a team is doubling up another at half, unless there is a significant talent difference - that only happens OOC. The focus on D isn't ever the same that 2H. Add that Providence is a proud team that wanted to at least show fight.
Jays shot 16-22 in 2H, so it's not like they laid an egg.

No disrespect to other Providence fans but did you really think the Jays would lay an egg on senior night of the best player in the history of the program? There is nothing over confident about thinking we would win on senior night with this group of seniors let alone a year when we won every other home game.

I thought you would get the win too. What I objected to was the lack of respect. You continue to show the same lack of respect by stating that a loss to Providence would have been the equivalent to "laying an egg." See you at The Garden.
