A Friar win should punch their ticket. But Creighton is like an 11 point favorite. Another Pepto Bismol game.

PC is a good team and I hope they make the tourney either way, but I just don't see the Jays losing at home on senior night. Hasn't happened since 1995. We lost our last home game in 2002 but had no seniors that year. This year we have 4 seniors in the starting lineup including the likely NPOY who most would argue is the best player in the history of Creighton's basketball. My prediction is that Doug finds a way to get 34+ to break 3K and the Jays find a way to pull out a win in a tough game. Looking forward to watching this group play at home one last time. It will be a memorable night in Omaha.

I think this game will be pretty close until the end, both teams doing what they do well. For Providence that means rebounding well and Creighton shooting the three. Creighton when emerging from a losing streak doesn't typically annilate the team that they first beat, it is typically a grind of sorts. I don't see it any other way this time as well. A raucous crowd plus a group of 4 juiced up seniors (and Chatman the junior who has been there for most of the ride) will seal the deal for the Jays. This will provide much needed momentum going to the BET. Low score do to Providence clock chewing.
Jays 67-61 Friars.

I'm loving the overconfidence of the Jays' fans. You'd think they'd have a little more respect for a team that beat them by double digits earlier in the season. You'd think they'd be aware that they are #2 in this conference and Providence is #3. When 2 teams are that close, #3 usually has a shot at the win. I hope the attitude here is pervasive on the Creighton campus and affects the players as well.

We heard similar comments when Marquette went into Providence this week. Marquette had beaten Providence 10 in a row, 11-1 since joining the Big East, etc, etc. But when they met on the court, none of that mattered. Providence won the Game.

None of the jays fans I know are overconfident. Hell, many think we'll lose again facing a team who desperately needs the win. Guys like Henton and Fortune worry me. I'll be there and hope to see a Jays win, but i am NOT overconfident.

Friars by 8...77 to 69. McDermott gets his, but Wragge struggles again. Go Friars

Going to be tough for PC but no doubt they can get the win here if they keep McDermott to about 25 points or less. If PC wins they are locked in. If they lose they have work to do and are basically in the same boat as SJ. It's a shame that 4 will probably get in because 6 really deserve bids: Nova, Creighton, Xavier, PC, G'Town, SJ. If PC loses it will be really interesting because the #4 and last spot in the tourney will be up for grabs.
