Well Coach Mack, you finished 6th last year in the A-10. 6th. You are 3rd now in the Big East. You lost Taylor and Redord, sure. Stainbrook didn't magically make this team that much better. The dots don't connect very well.

Top of the A10 stronger than the nBE at the top?

Villanova >>> St Louis
Creighton >>> VCU

Top being those teams under NCAA consideration. Take your rose colored glasses off. The A-10 is looking at 6 teams and the BE is looking at 4 max. So yes, the top of the A-10 is stronger THIS YEAR. I have no clue what's going to happen next year.

Funny definition of "top".

The A10 has13 and the Big East has 10 teams. You conveniently ignore that. More teams = more chances.

Rose colored glasses? There are bracketologists who have the BE with 5, but in your passion for the A10, you conveniently ignore that. It's hardly worth debating what each league "might" get. There is a real world and we'll have the answer soon enough.

It's pretty easy to explain the down year Xavier had last year. Mark Lyons transferred, Dez Wells was kicked out of Xavier and Myles Davis and Jalen Reynolds were deemed academically ineligible by NCAA just prior to the beginning of the season. They played the majority of the year with a 7 man rotation and relied on 2 walk-ons for good amounts in most games. No one expected Xavier to do much of anything last year.

In the end, we're all talking about teams that pray to get to a S16 or E8. Let's see how these A10 teams do in the tourney.

Yeah, this isn't the best year for Temple comparisons.

And yet St Joes lost to Temple. Teams like Towson can't say the same. :D

Exactly, and still finished 2 games over.500 something Dayton has rarely accomplished in the A10.

I must now say that as a UD and Seton Hall Fan, and after the experience of the inaugural new BE season, I hope UD does not jump to the BE.
The main reason is the affiliation with FOX. The TV coverage nd expsure that the A10 has with CBS and NBC has been fantastic. EVery game with the exception of one has been on CBS and NBC. Fox reminds me of Fox News and their NFL coverage. I dislike both. So I would have not thought this at the beginning of the year, but UD will be just find in the A10 and I hope it stays that way

1. You don't have to worry about UD being invited to join the Big East.
2. Why are you still posting here?

Of course he's nervous on the bubble. Why wouldn't he be nervous on the bubble? That's why he's saying these things, to get people to look at it and realize that the Big East is a more difficult league, even though the A-10 has more bids right now.

I've watched tons of games from both conferences. I really, don't have any huge bias. The BE teams are stronger. The A10 had some good timely wins. ( Prov. and Creight. did their part to help) Do you remember the Mountain west last year? They got 5 teams in? They all fluffed each other up. I think they got 2 wins last year in the ncaa. My bracket won't have any A10 teams going far. Congrats to the A10 for getting a bunch of teams IN the tourney.
My guess is the BE will have more tourney wins then the A10.
