They're going to act like our current set up is some sort of mid-major conference. Like we're less than those that ESPN owns. I bet they even inflate the ACC at some point as they act like they have taken the Big Easts spot. Too bad the reality is they are now a 5-6 bid league instead of a 3-4 bid league like they have been.

There isn't a chance in hell that ESPN gives us a fair shake.

I bet the last part of this will be how the "ACC" is the rebirth of the old Big East....

ESPN is going to take every shot at the Big East that they possibly can. They do it during most of their telecasts now.

They've been doing it since the first ACC raid.

Didn't pay as much attention until this one though. :)

I'd bet everything I own that ESPN will fail to acknowledge their own hand in the breakup of the Big East.

Honestly? The nerve. The absolute nerve.

Anonymous Eagle put it best when noting how unseemly it is for a murderer to give the eulogy for its victim. This 30 for 30 is basically a snuff film.

No doubt our current set up will be described as "Something resembling the Big East" or "the Conference formerly known as the Big East" or something along those lines. Never mind that a majority of the schools who were in the Big East in its pre-1990 glory day ARE STILL IN THE CONFERENCE.

Yea, the Big East doesn't have Syracuse and UConn anymore, but it also doesn't have South Florida (8-year Big East Record of 38-and-102), Rutgers (Last NCAA Tournament win was in 1983), Virginia Tech (2 NCAA Appearances since 1987) and Boston College (Sliding into ACC irrelevance) anymore either and is better for it.
Al McGuire: "What is this?"
Waiter: "Mr. McGuire, that is a cull lobster. Sometimes when the lobsters are in the tank, they fight. This one lost a claw."
Al McGuire: "Well then take this one away and bring me the winner."
