One game tonight, really a win Georgetown has to have...

Georgetown at Seton Hall, 9pm, CBS-SN.

The Hall looking for the sweep. The Hoyas looking to get back to 500 in conference, have won 4 of their last 5, and still have a good RPI of 59. Also, GU trying to get out of the 7th place slot, to avoid the Wednesday night 7-vs-10 game in the BET... lotta moving parts though with at least 4 games left for every team.

Hopefully Seton Hall's Home woes continue. This is a game we have to have.

Not a position Georgetown fans are used to being in under JT3. Last game like this (game late in the season to keep bubble hopes alive) I can think of was @ St. John's in 2009 but of course we lost that so hopefully that doesn't repeat itself.

Gotta defend the three point arc. Especially in transition. Seton Hall hit like 3 transition 3s in a row at one point in our last game. They absolutely torched us from outside. Can't let that happen again. Rebounding will also be key. Neither team is good at controlling the boards.

A road win, even against 110+ Seton Hall, should give Georgetown a little RPI bump, perhaps pushing them under 50.

even a road win against 139 Seton Hall won't give them much of a bump, definitely not a 10 spot bump.

real short turnaround for the Hoya's coming up- Xavier on Saturday at 11:30am- so only a 37 hour turn around. Start of a 5 game stretch- all vs teams that beat us earlier. We probably have to go 3-2 to make the tourney- and with last 2 games vs Creighton and Nova- pretty close to no margin for error now.

I think we have a good shot to win these two despite the quick turnaround. If we do that we only have to win one out of the last 3. Which is not terrible. The key is winning these next two. We do that we should be fine. We have a better record @ Nova under JT3 than we do vs. Nova at home 5-2 vs. 3-3. So I wouldn't be surprised to see us win that game since we should have beat them at home. But can't look ahead. Have to take care of Seton Hall tonight.

Seton Hall played great and deserved to win, but that was not exactly inspired basketball from the Hoyas. Surprising considering the need to win and keep NCAA hopes alive.

Wow…had G'Town as a near lock here given the beating they got at MSG recently. Can't remember a time G'Town was doing this poorly in recent memory. Always seemed to be an easy top 25 team. This year they have had very high highs (beating MSU) and very low lows (being blown out twice in a row effectively taken out of the March conversation). The Big East doesn't feel right with them like this. Hopefully they rebound next year which I'm sure they will…they did lose a lot of key players.

Nice win by SHU…such a scrappy team that plays the role as everyone's thorn in their side. You wouldn't know this team has no shot at making the tourney by seeing them play. Too bad they graduate most of their key players because adding Whitehead to that group could have made them a tourney team if he turns out to be the real deal.

I'm so disappointed Obekpa got hurt in practice right before the huge Nova game. Nova really caught a break. I was looking forward to finally seeing what we could do with full confidence and a full roster against Nova. Guess we won't know this year unless we meet again. For some reason St. John's is always snakebitten when it matters. 2011 we make the big run and right before the tourney Kennedy gets hurt and we lose 1st round. 2013 we are on the bubble…Harrison gets suspended the rest of the season…we make the NIT and finish terribly in the regular season. 2014 we are on the bubble…Obekpa gets injured in practice and is out at least 2 weeks. We have been very fortunate with injuries but when they do come, it's at the worst times.

On the bright side, Georgetown doesn't have to worry about getting slapped around by a 10-15 seed this year.
