Syracuse has been playing with fire for a while. This is the 3rd game in a row that went down to the wire.
- 1 point win over NC State which required a last second steal leading to a game winning lay up in order to avoid a loss.
- 2 point win over Pitt on a last second desperation 35 footer to avoid the loss.
Just 2 weeks earlier, it took OT for them to avoid a loss to Duke and eek out a 2 point win. February has been a struggle for the Orange.

Wait, Bill, I though only SOS mattered to you? Considering your genuflecting before the almighty Jayhawks' 6 losses why would ONE loss by your beloved 'cuse affect your lofty placement of the Orange??????
