Marquette,

Thanks for the sentiment, but I'm sorry to tell you that I was extremely disappointed with Marquette, your team and fans (and the griping on this thread--we shot 62 percent and actually played the game of BASKETBALL, not football you freak no-flop-metal-plate heads). Thought our Jebbie bros would be a lot classier. My favorite moment was when Austin Chatman dropped a DAGGER that sent the drunk boo-birds to the exits. Grant Gibbs' bloody fat lip and our banged up Men won't forget that hostility any time soon.

NO injuries. A WIN. Goodbye.

That was an interesting, albeit tough game to watch. The missed free throws obviously were huge, lots of fight in your Golden Eagles but the Jays dug deep and won what was kind of a wacky game. I don't think I have seen so many fouls called in game by the zebras... They wanted to make sure they were a big part of this game.

Obviously a tough loss to MU's at large chances. Still if they can win 4 out of their last 5, and win a game or two in the BET they might just sneak in. Those early season losses might just be too much to overcome however. Good luck to you guys the rest of the way out, unless the Jays/Golden Eagles meet again in the BET.

Yeah, the early season losses really hurt now. It's too bad because a lot of our early season troubles were point guard related. Derek is playing much better now, and hopefully will continue to improve, but we could have used this Derek in the non-conference. I won't hold my breath for a 4-1 finish, but I'll be in the stands cheering 'em on anyway. Good luck with the rest of the season. Go win us a national championship.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

What watching tonight's game felt like as a Marquette fan.
Al McGuire: "What is this?"
Waiter: "Mr. McGuire, that is a cull lobster. Sometimes when the lobsters are in the tank, they fight. This one lost a claw."
Al McGuire: "Well then take this one away and bring me the winner."

This is a pretty classless post, particularly in the context of responding to what I said. I'll look back through, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only Marquette fan posting in this thread. this will bring my grand total to 4 (2 of which were before the game). I've come to expect a lot more from Jays fans.

So me and one other Marquette poster were on here before the game. Nothing during. Then my congrats after. Response seems pretty reasonable/sarcasm. Admin? Ban hammer?

From a Creighton fan, this seems unnecessarily harsh. It was a tough, physical game...the way everyone knew it would be.

I was amused by the overrated chants, though...while Marquette was losing. :D

WB77 has been somewhat under control lately....but he must have not taken his meds tonight.

I will ask this, were there Marquette fans chanting overrated tonight? If so that has to be one of the weirdest things I've heard from a crowd, especially since MU pretty much never led.

Glad X won comfortably too. 4 looking really solid for March right now with a couple more that could get in if they finish strong.

Sorry Marquette. Whiteandblue77 frequently posts like someone with the maturity of a spoiled 7 year old. Maybe someday he will grow up and learn how to handle a little success. He is embarrassing and you called it correctly, most of his posts have no class. I felt fortunate to come out of your house with a win. This season so far has not met your expectations and hopes I am sure. But your program is solid and this is only a temporary dip for you. I don't really care to see you again in the BET as in on any given night we could lose to you. Good luck the rest of the season.

No need for you to apologize for anybody else. I know you guys are generally a pretty good bunch. I did somehow miss the "overrated" chant. I know that it was a pretty hostile environment, and we should probably conduct ourselves a little more respectfully. It's a rough season for us and college kids don't always keep their cool when things aren't going their way. There were a lot of Jays fans in the crowd, hopefully you guys had generally positive experiences despite the hostility from the student section.
